Tether Clamps for Floating Wind, Renewables, Oil & Gas
What are Tether Clamps?
Tether Clamps are used to retain a dynamic flexible pipe, umbilical or power cable in a specific position.
Tether Clamps are clamped to the flexible cable, the clamps are then tethered to the seabed anchor or gravity base using cables or rope, the "tether system".
There are various types of tether clamps such as swivel clamps that using different materials such as steel, rubber and polyurethane. Each clamp is designed to best fit the flexible cable in its environment and is design to minimise and stress or loads into the flexible. Tether Clamps are designed to withstand high differential axial loads on the flexible pipe, umbilical or cable and consider the high tether loads to the anchor.
Tether Clamps may also utilise bend protection such as bell mouths and bend restrictors.
Swivel Tether clamps can allow up to 360-degree rotation to avoid any torsional loads on the flexible riser, umbilical, or cable.
Industry
Floating Wind, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Offshore, Subsea
Why are ours better
Quite simply Connectsubsea Tether systems are designed to be as efficient as possible. Smaller, lighter and more efficient meaning reduction in cost, CO2, transport and installation costs.
Certification
Connectsubsea tether clamps are API17L and DNV approved.
Testing
Connectsubsea tether clamps are computationally and also physically tested.
